The 10th General Assembly of the Board of Trustees of the Immunodeficiency Patients Support Association (Registration No. 45305) was held at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, June 20, 2022, at the following address: Tehran, end of Keshavarz Blvd., Dr. Gharib Street, Children’s Medical Center, Building No. 3, 4th Floor (Immunology, Asthma, and Allergy Research Center).
Attendees included Dr. Mostafa Moein, Dr. Masoud Mohebi, Dr. Mohammadreza Fazlollahi, Dr. Vahid Ghobadi Dana, Dr. Abolfazl Golestani, Dr. Bahman Shah Mohammadi, Dr. Zahra Pourpak, Dr. Maryam Nourizadeh, and Ms. Marziyeh Salek.

- Follow-up on renewal of registration certificate, license from the Ministry of Interior, medical and consultation support for patients, etc.
- Meeting to review the strategic plan in the presence of Board of Trustees members.
- Holding educational webinars for patients with immunodeficiency.
- Financial and logistical support for stem cell transplant for Sama Safipour.
- Collaboration with Dorsa Darou Company to provide Gamma Interferon for CGD patients.
- Coordination for free flu and COVID-19 vaccinations for immunodeficient patients.
- Sending antibody test results via WhatsApp to patients after two vaccine doses.
- Cooperation with other charities (e.g., referring a patient to Katij Charity).
- Efforts to secure Berinert medication for hereditary angioedema patients.
- Completion of electronic medical records for HAE patients.
- Preparation of a three-year performance brochure for donor presentations.
- Collection of Zakat al-Fitr during Eid for patient support.
- Website updates and patient communication through WhatsApp and Instagram.
- Participation in Zeinab (SA) Foundation charity event (Dec 10, 2021).
- Correspondence with the Ministry of Health regarding medication and patient care issues.
- Presentation of the annual financial report by the Association’s Treasurer.
Then, the Association’s Treasurer, Dr. Maryam Nourizadeh, presented the financial report for the year 2021.
According to the report, donations from benefactors to the Association in 2021 amounted to approximately 5,960,000,000 IRR, and the amount of financial aid provided to patients was about 5,275,000,000 IRR. A total of 200 patients received medical financial assistance, and the remaining funds were added to the revenue for 2022.
Subsequently, in accordance with the meeting agenda, a vote was held to appoint or renew the position of auditor.
Dr. Abolfazl Golestani was elected as the main auditor by majority vote, and Dr. Bahman Shah Mohammadi was elected as the alternate auditor.
At the end of the session, the following resolutions were approved:
- Identifying sustainable financial resources to support the Association
- Finding donors willing to contribute on a project-based basis
- Organizing virtual or in-person tours for benefactors to get acquainted with the condition of immunodeficient patients
- Encouraging the participation of health philanthropists
- Following up on insurance coverage for Berinert medication
- Pursuing the Association’s mid- and long-term plans in line with its strategic program
